Rajastan has seen many rulers in the past who have all left their mark in Indian history - majestic hill forts and palaces, with extraordinary cultures, each narrating the legends of the kings. A visit to Rajasthan is a great way to experience the breathtaking architecture and beautiful structures that stand out from the rest.

The state of Rajasthan is home to a record number of forts, palaces, and havelis erected by Mughal and Rajput kings. Many of these are centuries old. A number of these structures have been designated World Heritage Sites by UNESCO due to their historical and architectural significance. Some of the most well-known forts and palaces in Rajasthan include Kumbalgarh, Mehrangarh, Jaisalmer fort, Chittorgarh, Hawa Mahal, Patwon ki haveli, Jal Mahal, and City Palace.

Detailed Itinerary (10 days)

  • Day1

    Arrival in Delhi

    Upon arriving at the Delhi airport, our representative will meet and greet you and then you will be transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. Stay overnight at the hotel.

  • Day2

    Delhi - Jaipur

    After breakfast, get ready for drive to Jaipur. The city of Jaipur has much to offer has much to offer, with hilltop fortresses, sumptuous royal palaces and beautiful pink-painted sandstone architecture, its often referred to as the 'Pink City'. Enjoy the richness of history here by wandering around.

    Visit the city's markets to find everything from handicrafts to jewelry, textiles to exotic blue pottery, and beautiful stone carvings to sandalwood carvings. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

  • Day3

    Jaipur Sightseeing

    Start your day by visiting Amber Fort, one of the most iconic sights in Jaipur. Take a tour of Amer fort by riding on an elephant’s back. On the return from Amber, you can catch a glimpse of Jal Mahal while it is beautifully lit and looks like a gem in the middle of the water. Next, you will explore Hawa Mahal, a five-storied building that had a beehive structure wherein the main façade is dotted with 953 small windows.

    Thereafter, you will explore the City Palace complex, which is situated in the heart of the old City and is a perfect example of Rajputana and Mughal architecture. Next, visit Jantar Mantar, which is a royal observatory located opposite the City Palace. If time allows you can visit Albert Hall Museum and Birla Temple. Post sightseeing, return to the hotel for a night stay.

  • Day4

    Jaipur - Bikaner

    After breakfast, start the drive to Bikaner. Upon arrival, check into the hotel and rest for a while. Later, visit the magnificent Junagarh Fort. The fort includes several palaces, temples and pavilions, in a mix of architectural styles. It is made of red sandstone (Dulmera) and marble. Next, you will explore Lalgarh Palace, is an architectural masterpiece built by the then Maharaja of Bikaner.

    Later on, you will see the Camel Breeding Farm of Bikaner. It's the only Camel research farm and breeding centre in India and one of the largest in the world. After visiting the places return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

  • Day5

    Bikaner - Deshnok - Jaisalmer

    After breakfast, you will head towards Golden City of Rajasthan – Jaisalmer. En-route, stop at Karni Mata Temple. This is a famous Hindu temple where rats are worshipped. Thousands of rats live in the temple premises and are fed by the devotees.
    Continue your drive to Jaisalmer. Upon arrival, check into the hotel for an overnight stay.

  • Day6

    Jaisalmer Sightseeing

    Post breakfast, get ready to explore the Jaisalmer city. First, explore the ramparts of the 12th-century Jaisalmer Fort. There are lots of attractions inside the fort, such as Patwon ki Haveli, Salim Singh ki Haveli, Megh Durbar, etc., each adorned with soulful artwork. In the evening, you can enjoy camel ride at the Sand Dunes and savor a magnetizing view of the sunset. After city sightseeing tour, return to the hotel and stay overnight.

  • Day7

    Jaisalmer - Osiyan - Jodhpur

    After breakfast, you will be driven on to Jodhpur, the Sun City of Rajasthan. On the way, you stop at the ancient Jain commerce centre, Osian. The ancient city of Osian is famous for its architectural structures that date back to the ancient medieval period.

    Continue your drive to Jodhpur. Upon arrival, check into the hotel. Thereafter, visit the Mehrangarh Fort, situated on a low sandstone hill. Within the fort, visit Moti Mahal and Phool Mahal. There is also a museum in the fort which houses an exquisite collection of palanquins, howdahs, royal cradles, miniatures, musical instruments, costumes and furniture.

    Next, you will explore the very beautiful Jaswant Thada, a mausoleum crafted with delicately carved sheets of marble. It is adorned with carved gazebos, a well-manicured garden, and a small lake.
    Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

  • Day8

    Jodhpur - Ranakpur - Kumbhalgarh

    After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, leave for Kumbhalgarh. En-route you will stop at renowned Jain temple at Ranakpur is dedicated to Tirthankara Rishabhanatha. This temple holds three levels and each floor is filled with sculptures, paintings and others architectural designs. The temple has 1444 pillars and the interesting fact is that, no two pillars have the same design. Every sculpture has very detailed structure.

    Continue your drive to reach Kumbhalgarh. Here you will visit Kumbhalgarh Fort, a 15th-century hilltop fortress and UNESCO World Heritage Site surrounded by a massive, 38 km-long barricade wall built during a time of ancient war. Kumbhalgarh Fort is the second-largest wall in the world after the Great Wall of China. Return to your hotel and stay overnight in Kumbhalgarh.

  • Day9

    Kumbhalgarh - Udaipur

    Post breakfast, leave for Udaipur, the Lake City of Rajasthan. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and refresh yourself, then head out to visit Saheliyon Ki Bari which was made by Maharana Sangram Singh for the royal queen and her women attendants. Next, you will explore City Palace of Udaipur, a must-visit monument, built over a period of nearly 400 years. It features a flamboyant style and is located on the east bank of Lake Pichola. The palace has a blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architectural styles.
    The day ends with a heart pleasing sunset boat cruise on Lake Pichola to enjoy the serenity sprawling around. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

  • Day10

    Udaipur - Delhi

    After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Udaipur airport to board the flight to Delhi. Upon arrival at New Delhi, transfer to the New Delhi International airport for your flight to home.
